“Kapuso ng Bawat Pilipino” (“One in the heart with every Filipino”)[52] is the secondary characteristic phrase of the GMA network. The slogan was originally used as part of the GMA network name change to Kapuso network on October 27, 2002. [53] (It is currently used on its regional television channels). But another slogan of the network “Kapuso, Anumang Kulay ng Buhay” (“One in the heart, in all the colors of life”) is still used for other purposes and it is the official theme song of the network. GMA Network`s news and public relations department now uses the slogan “Serbisyong Totoo” (“True Service”) This is one of the oldest slogans used for advertising news programs. In 2020, a variation of the current slogan “Buong Puso Para Sa Pilipino” (“With all my heart for Filipinos”) was unveiled for its 70th anniversary (currently used as a secondary slogan for the original 2018 slogan). He is currently featured on promotional media outlets for the network`s program on television and on its social media channels, and “Buong Puso Para Sa Pinoy Abroad” (“From the Heart to the Philippines Overseas”) to celebrate the 15th anniversary of GMA Pinoy TV. (which was first known as “Doon Tayo Sa Tama”) and the remake of the 1989 film Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit. The local appeals court dismissed ABS-CBN Corporation`s lawsuit against GMA Network Inc. for allegedly illegal copies of its live video footage. In a decision, the Fourth Local Branch of the Court of Appeals overturned the local Department of Justice`s order allowing the filing of violation of Republic Act 8293 (or the Intellectual Property Code) against GMA Network. It ruled out that GMA Network`s action in broadcasting live video coverage was in good faith, as there was no point in harming ABS-CBN Corporation. [64] The local court also said that GMA Network acted in good faith when it decided to immediately stop using Reuters` live video stream after learning that ABS-CBN was also covering said news event and its subsequent efforts to authenticate the ABS-CBN Corporation restriction agreement with Reuters.
